About my coaching…

Maxine Mallett - Head of Eveline Primary School

Matthew is a good ‘listening ear’.  He enabled me to identify areas of my job that were causing me stress and frustration.  Using coaching techniques I was able to determine strategies that would enhance my performance. I now feel less stress and I’m a better leader.  I’m more aware of my leadership style and my strengths and weakness.

Jane Boardman - Head of Cherry Hinton Junior School

I am the headteacher of a small, urban Junior School. I was given an initial coaching session with Matthew as a gift from a colleague. Prior to working with him, I was extremely sceptical about coaching. After only one or two sessions, however, it became clear how powerful the time to think, talk and plan changes can be. For example, we spent some time exploring my values and this reminded me of why I teach in the first place! Like many of us working in education, I prioritised work above everything else and resented it. I now have a new set of skills and resources to draw on which help me to balance work and life more effectively.

Ross Sargent - Director of Cambridge Kung Fu Ltd

I have known Matthew for six years. In that time he has been my friend, my student and my teacher. I do not believe that I have ever met someone with the skill set that Matthew has at his disposal, he is unique in my experience. He is somehow able to combine an innate analytical and highly scientific mind with an extremely sensitive, responsive and positive way of being. He is highly intelligent and is able to problem solve in an extremely effective way both on his own and as part of a team. Above all I would say that Matthew is a caring and thoughtful person who is passionate about personal growth both in terms of himself and in his ability to coach others.
